- I am an American, born and raised in a typical mid-sized town. My family has been here literally for centuries and I am part American Indian, admittedly a very, very small part; 1/64th Susquehannock to be exact.
- I am an educated professional from a large middle class family with predominately low-middle income relatives in a wide range of industries and areas of the country.
- I am the grandson of a Methodist preacher and son of an engineer.
- At times I have been generous and at others wasteful and careless.
- I was close to homeless at one point and I would have been if it weren’t for friends and family.
- I’ve had my share of triumphs and disappointments in life.
- I’ve worked hard and I now have a large middle class family of my own.
- I have a deep religious conviction but have rarely shown it.
- Politically, I am conservative
Throughout my life I have had strong convictions on many topics. During events in my life I have been amazed, surprised and somewhat dismayed by the reactions of several friends and even close family members who expected me to react in ways that are the direct opposite of my feelings on big topics. I know that I have kept my feelings on certain topics to myself and in the past I have not wanted to preach or push my beliefs on others.
During the course of these events I was really amazed that those who were so close to me really did not know me at all. As I have grown older I have become more and more vocal with my opinions but I still find that I am not willing to march down Main Street. In that respect I guess I’m still a little introverted and still prefer to be a “wall-flower” at parties where I don’t know everyone. However I know that if I want things to be the way I want and if I expect my government to work for me. Than I have to voice my opinions.
I ask that you read my thoughts on the topics presented on this website and even if you don’t agree with me give me a fair hearing and read them through. As the title of this website says, these are just my ramblings, my thoughts and opinions they are presented as just that and nothing more.
Whether you agree or not; I’d encourage you to read the “Don’t Agree?” page to give you a little more insight and explain my desire for a degree of anonymity.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and view my website.
